Director of Finance

Care South is one of the South's largest and most experienced providers of residential and home care services for older people. As a registered charity with a turnover of c£30 million and employing c1500 people, Care South is forward looking and has plans to continue to expand its services to meet the need in this growing market.

As Director of Finance and an integral member of the forward thinking senior management team you will have a wide ranging brief including all aspects of financial control, IT and MIS. In addition you will have responsibility for all statutory reporting, treasury management, negotiation of loan facilities, budgeting, financial modelling and financial evaluation for acquisitions and business planning. You will be required to provide advice and information to the Board and Chief Executive as well as assisting budget holders with financial planning and budgetary control.

As a professionally qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA), you will have several years post qualified experience at a senior level, and be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, particularly with non-financial people, and a high level of IT and technical accounting knowledge. An empathy and interest in the work of Care South is essential. Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure.
