HUDSON COOPER - SUPPORTING TOMORROW'S DECISION MAKERS TODAY.
A career without boundaries, Accountancy continues to flourish and grow in the UK with over 330,000 students of the profession in Britain* - that's enough people to fill the new Wembley stadium 4 times! A select few of these students recently attended a career support session, jointly hosted by independently owned south coast recruitment firm, Hudson Cooper and the ACCA Southern Members Network Panel.
Focused on training professionals and students in the accountancy field, the seminar was a great success with the interactive approach to the event proving to be a beneficial method of creating a workshop environment making it possible to cover many recruitment topics throughout the evening.
Eleanor Watters, President of the ACCA Southern Members Network, comments, "The event was extremely successful and provided great value to the ACCA. It is very encouraging to see the high levels of interest at these events. The aim is to look at what happens after passing the exams and to remember that exams are only one part of becoming an accountant. The advice and recommendations from Hudson Cooper were first class and will help motivate and encourage our students and graduates to start thinking about the next important steps in their professional lives."
'Hudson Cooper - Professional People' provides recruitment advice to Legal, Banking, HR and Financial professionals on permanent, temporary and interim career opportunities through its specialist brands, 'Financial People', 'Legal People' and 'Effective People'.
Lee Cooper of Hudson Cooper Ltd comments, "The role of accountants has changed over the years. A lot of accountants hold Financial Director posts and will be active members of a Board, requiring extensive business knowledge. The alterations in the qualification reflect changes in working practice, not only for Board member posts but also accountancy firms themselves. At Hudson Cooper we are more than aware of the need to keep abreast of changes and endeavor to provide candidates and employers with suitable support and guidance where necessary. The career support session is just one way of demonstrating our commitment to this ethos."
